has been sharing her passion for ballet with students for over a decade. In her classes, she works with students to develop safe ballet technique through mindfulness, body awareness, strength building and an exploration of the why behind the movements we practice in class. With this foundation, the sky is the limit. Allowing freedom of movement, artistry and passion to develop alongside technique. Her energetic, flexible teaching style encourages dancers to take up space and be seen, but can also adjust to meet students wherever they happen to be. Giving students the support they need and continuing to emphasize the basis of technique allows them to flourish at their own pace. Heather started learning ballet technique at a very young age through the Boston Ballet Center for Dance Education and Ballet Theatre of Boston and went on to perform with several small local companies before transitioning to teaching. Seeing dancers emerge through hard work, dedication and the pure enjoyment of movement exploration continues to fascinate her. Each New Year is a fresh start; let’s get started together.
